I’ve been using this as a replacement for my moisturizer and it’s been amazing! Communication was very warm and easy when my order was slightly delayed—it actually arrived so quickly! The packaging is clean and beautiful. I’ve been receiving compliments on my skin and haven’t had a breakout since I started using this, including during my monthly cycle when I usually get hormonal acne around my chin. I decided to use this product for a few weeks before leaving a review, and spoiler alert — I am OBSESSED.
A little background for context… I’m in my mid-30s with extremely sensitive skin, no injections or procedures or retinols, just trying to age as gracefully and naturally as I can. I’ve been disappointed by the vast majority of well-vetted skincare products, which seem to irritate my skin no matter how clean or simple they claim to be. So I let myself be influenced by the tallow trend, and it did NOT disappoint.
I’ve been using this balm at night as a standalone step after cleansing my face. For testing purposes, I also skipped all actives, toners, serums, or other moisturizers to see how my skin reacted to the tallow/honey/olive oil, etc.
The texture is luxurious, it instantly calms my skin, and the longer I work it in, the more beautifully it melts into my face. I would slather this all over my body every day if I could afford to — my skin has literally transformed overnight. I wish I didn’t have to put my mildly irritating sunscreen on in the morning and kill the tallow vibe (SPF is the last piece of my skincare routine that needs dialing in).
I know there are dozens of tallow brands circulating the ad spaces right now, but Bristol Balms is the ONLY company you need to care about. Their customer service is absolutely unmatched, Michael soars above and beyond in every way. I literally just ordered another jar. I cannot emphasize how miraculous this balm is.

This is a great product. I like that I can use it on my face since it gets severely dry. It also helped reduce a stubborn eczema patch. It is not stopping my fingertips from splitting, which is why it isn’t a perfect 5, but everything else feels better. Maybe after a few months using it. It has very little scent though my dogs very much like it, and I have to keep my hands away from them for an hour. I recommend this. 4.5 stars

I found this tallow balm through a reddit comment and I didn’t know what to expect:
Mainly – the value is incredible. The price is better than most of what I’ve seen on the market and the fact that I can buy a bigger 8oz jar is great. I got the 4oz because I wanted to give it a test run before I commit and it’s already going to last me a while. My angry eczema is not so angry anymore – my symptoms settle when I apply the balm to my flare ups and my skin is much softer.
The smell is not my favorite but it is not bad either. And thankfully it’s not too strong – after an hour or so I don’t even smell it anymore. It’s hard to express what it smells like exactly but it is unscented beef tallow after all so a very plain smell is to be expected.
The tallow itself, when not whipped, is a bit hard to spread a bit, kinda like cold butter – I suggest to warm some of it up in your hands a bit before applying it to the rest of your body.
Also! I got a free little unscented tallow balm chapstick in my package. I love it. It’s not shiny like other chapsticks but it keeps my lips moisturized. I don’t know if the gift was intentional but thank you!
I plan on buying again, especially since I get so much value AND it’s a US-made small business on top of all of that.

I was surprised at the consistency. It is firm and a little bit granular and so it doesn’t go very easily. works better when I use slightly wet fingertips to get it out of the container… seems to spread more easily on my face. but, I do like it.

The texture is wonderful, no greasy residue at all and it just absorbs right into my skin. Couldn’t be happier especially because I’m using on my face, under eyes, neck and upper chest. Plus the cost value, it’s a nice size jar compared to the 2 ounce jars other companies sell, yours is 4 ounces. I will definitely keep buying and now want to try your lip balm.
